Shop Baker merch, winter gear and gifts at Mt. Baker Ski Area’s first seasonal location away from the mountain, open through January.
Mt. Baker Ski Area has been part of winter in this region for generations. Now, its first seasonal retail location away from the mountain is open at Barkley Village, bringing a broader selection of Baker merch, quality winter gear and mountain information into Bellingham.
Located at 2930 Newmarket Street, Suite 115, the shop gives longtime Baker skiers and snowboarders, families, new residents and first-time visitors a dedicated place in town to shop and connect with the mountain.
“The Barkley location is central to the daily lives and commutes of Bellingham and Whatcom County residents, and we see it as a perfect spot to create a space off the mountain where we can connect with the local community,” said Amy Trowbridge, Marketing Manager for Mt. Baker Ski Area. “We are excited to have a space that will be easily accessible before the mountain opens and by everyone, whether they are an experienced Baker local or someone who has never visited the ski area.”
Baker Merch, Winter Gear and Gifts
The shop carries a broad selection of Mt. Baker merch, including apparel, hats, stickers and the 2026–27 Limited Edition Passholder collection.
Visitors can also shop goggles, helmets, gloves, skis and snowboards. Much of the Baker merchandise is designed or produced in house, with select pieces created in collaboration with local artists and members of the broader ski and snowboard community.
Mt. Baker gift cards are also available and can be used at the ski area, including toward lift tickets.
More Than a Place to Shop
The Barkley location also gives the Baker community a new place to connect in Bellingham.
Visitors can pick up free posters and brochures, find information about the ski area and talk with longtime Mt. Baker staff members about lessons, rentals, multiweek learning programs and other ways to get involved at the mountain.
The shop will also host smaller informational events throughout the season, including sessions focused on the Baker Freeride Program and multiweek learning opportunities. Event details will be shared at mtbaker.us and on Instagram at @themtbakermtnshop as they are confirmed.
Please note that the Barkley shop does not sell lift tickets or offer equipment rentals.
